Should you redesign your logo?

Updated: Sep 26

Do you need to update your logo? Have you "lived" with the same logo for a while?

Think of logos as the face of our business. It's the first thing customers see, telling them all they need to know about your business right away. You've got less than a minute to make a killer first impression, so make it count!

If you started out like many new startups, needing a logo but not sure where to begin, maybe you asked a friend's artsy daughter or bought a template logo from a "logo maker" - well, don't worry, you're just like any other startup... a startup!

If you're tired of looking like a startup, it's time to level up. Upgrade! Some business owners worry that a new logo won't connect with customers, but fear not - studies have shown that a fresh logo, especially one with subtle font and color changes or added elements, can actually boost customer retention and perception. Why?

Because it shows your business is evolving, growing, and innovating, ultimately getting better!

Every now and then, businesses go back to what worked before! Take Burger King, for example. They revamped their brand to resemble an old logo, following the "Debranding" trend, and it worked out pretty well. They simply went back to what worked in the past, with a slight tweak to the font! (did you notice the small change?)

Sometimes, the saying "don't fix what's not broken" holds true. Look at Coca Cola - their logo is classic!

But remember, these are huge brands. Chances are, your business isn't, so choose your logo wisely.

And hey, there's nothing wrong with a little change!
